Four pages of algebra. Four pages. Had to be done three times because of mistakes. And it would have been eight lines if I had thought that the right way to set up the problem was recursively.

Serves me right for having thought fifteen years ago that I could get away by skimming rather than cracking Recursive Methods in Economic Dynamics...
