She Was 21/ When I Left Galveston...

Memo to self: Only trained professionals should be allowed to shop the iTunes movie store... and in this, I am not a trained professional.

Go to said store looking for Richard Harris's version of "Macarthur Park." Emerge with songwriter Jimmy Webb's version. And with both Jimmy Webb's and Glenn Campbell's versions of "By the Time I Get to Phoenix," "Wichita Lineman," and "Galveston."

There's a story--is it true?--that Jimmy Webb doesn't like Glenn Campbell's version of "Galveston": that in the song Webb wrote and the song Webb sings it is clear that the soldier will not make it back from Vietnam to Galveston, and in Campbell's version it is pretty clear that he has a good chance of getting back home...
