A correspondent nominates William Sjostrum, who trashes the excellent and thoughtful Ian Buruma's Murder in Amsterdam without having read it:

I have not yet read Buruma's book, so I cannot comment on its accuracy, but I find it interesting that Dalrymple tempers his praise for the book by criticizing its political correctness...
